Areas of Importance when taking lessons in Banstead
On your driving lessons in the area, your instructor will know which areas to take you depending on your ability and lesson plan for that day. A Suitable area is required for each lesson plan to go to plan. For instance,it’s no good doing your reversing lessons on a busy road, thus being unable to perform the exercise enough times to master it independently. Below is a small example of lesson plans and areas suitable.
Lesson Plan: Moving away and stopping
In Banstead, there is no shortage of quiet roads for our school to perform this exercise. It is important to understand the Prepare, Observe, Move procedure. On a test you will be asked to park and move off at least seven times, so you can see how important getting it right is. Your instructor will take you through it step by step.
Lesson Plan: Roundabouts:
The roundabouts around the area, will give you a good insight into the procedures needed to master these busy junctions. It’s important to be able to approach them in the correct position and speed and be able to emerge and exit them without confusing others around you. The roundabout near Winkworth road is a good one to master.
Lesson Plan: Junctions Emerging and Entering
When approaching junctions (emerging and entering), the best places for this can be the area around the Banstead high street and Nork areas. To be able to approach junctions safely and correctly, you will need to perform something called Mirror, Signal, Position, Speed and Look.
Lesson Plan: Reversing exercises – Driving Lessons Banstead
The High street does not have great areas to practise reversing, but don’t worry, as your instructor will know plenty of places nearby. Clutch control, Observations and steering accuracy are key to success.
Lesson Plan: Pedestrian Crossings – Driving Schools Banstead
You will learn how to recognise crossings and how to approach them safely. On your town driving lessons, we will concentrate on the Pedestrian crossings.
Lesson Plan: Dual Carriageways and Lane Discipline
Banstead is blessed with many surrounding dual carriageways and rural roads, so you won’t have to go far to learn this subject. Your Instructor will take you up and down / on and off the A217. This road is perfect for making sure you stick to the suitable lane for your destination. Plus with the speed limit varying from 30mph to 60mph, you will be able to master the car at speed.
There are many more places known to us for various exercises. There may well be occasions you need to be taken to another area for your test, for example, Croydon. All our Instructors are just as familiar in any areas to give you the best places to go to
